Anyone been to Camber Sands?

We are thinking of renting a cottage there with other family members. Cottage is near the beach but I know there are dunes on the beach. Some members of the group can walk but not that far and no good at climbing or scrambling. Do you have to do this to get over the dunes and to the beach or are there easy paths?

is a difficult climb up and over the dunes. Also very busy in summer and not much beach left at high tide.

I stayed in Rye, about 3 mils away. Lovely harbour and flatter with good walks around the harbour. Not really a good beach there although Winchelsea beach is near (didn't go so you may have to google).

Hastings about 15 minutes drive away.
