Come recommend me a special hotel in Glasgow/Edinburgh

DH's birthday in February. We often have weekends away in Glasgow or Edinburgh but wanted a special hotel for his birthday. Something with parking and preferably a pool. (not asking much, eh?!). TIA.

Can't advise but look on Laterooms. You can get some lovely rooms at discounted rates and I think you can put some specifications in.

I've been to the Sheraton Grand in Edinburgh - nice hotel and fab spa. You can book treatments etc. Pool is inside and outside too (we went over xmas and was weird but fun being outside in the freezing cold, but in the lovely warm water). There is the Blytheswood Square Hotel, not been there but the photos online look fab. It has a pool, treatments too I think. Other than that, no idea!

Blytheswood Square is in Glasgow - should have added that!

The Howard, Prestonfield and Tiger Lily in Edinburgh all rated highly.

Le Monde in Edinburgh is good. Neither pool or parking, but the baths in some of the rooms are practically big enough to swim in. You can get cheap late deals for there too.

Malmaisson in Edinburgh has some pretty incredible suites, properly rockstar awesome. The rest of the rooms can be hit or miss.

We got married and had the most wonderful experience in prestonfield. Treated like royalty. Wonderful. Go on their website. Food was amazing to. Also stayed in the witchery. Lovely but preferred prestonfield. We have also stayed in ricks (tigerlillys original I believe, owned by the same people) that was amazing! Fantastic staff, very knowledgable and got us very drunk! Wonderful hospitality! All in Edinburgh
