Somewhere to meet Northampton area-ish

I want to try and meet my sister, probably on Sunday for a few hours, she's coming from West Yorkshire, I'm coming from Berkshire. I'll have DD with me who's almost 3. We'd like to do something nice, but it doesn't really matter what. I was thinking Northampton might be a suitable location. Any recommendations on where we could go or what we could do.

You have the market in northampton, and grovenor shopping centre, there are plenty of pubs for a nice pub lunch. There is loads of parks (though wrong time of year) I would recomment the moon on the square for food, its a wetherspoons and very cheap but the food is really nice. I no longer live in northampton, but town centre is quite nice to go to in my opinion. xxx
