Going for a weekend away for DH's birthday in January (I've got him tickets to see the Autosport show at the NEC on one day). I'm thinking ahead about a restaurant for his birthday meal. We'll have DD with us (2.10yrs). In our home town we have all the usual suspects of Pizza Express, Zizzi, Prezzo etc and would love to take him somewhere different for his birthday, but also somewhere we will feel comfortable with DD. Any type of cuisine, he is a particular fan of Indian cooking but would consider anything good! We are staying in Birmingham City Centre close to the Mailbox. Any suggestions gratefully received, TIA!

China gardens in china town is a vast restaurant very popular with local chinese community. I have been taking Dd there since she was a fetus and we have never had a bad experience. In fact all the restaurants in china town are very accomodating to families.
