40th birthday celebration with girls - need a large house

am looking to rent somewhere to celebrate my 40th with friends. I was looking at renting a large property and just chilling out. Can anyone recommend any?

we went there for a week in Aug, highly recommend it. We had the Miller House which sleeps 8 but hte beauty of the place is that their is other accomodation there to sleep,2 or 4. Also very nice pub, good food with in 5 mins walk! Lovely owners and great area!

Have a look at bigholidayhouse.com and groupaccomodation they specialise in large houses/properties and we have found them good in the past. also have a look at awaywithoutthekids. good luck and hope you all have fun

www.the-cleeve.co.uk gives 5% discount to Mumsnetters. It's in the pretty village of Porlock in Exmoor National Park.

Why not look at www.broadgatefarmcottages.co.uk - a 4 bedroom or 6 bedroom barn conversion and there are other cottages next door you can book as well. Michelin restuarant nearby and lots of restaurants in Beverley which is only 2 miles away.
I agree www.bigcottages.com is good for larger places as well

Not sure how many you are - but try little Ringmore in the beautiful estuary village of Shaldon Devon. (www.littleringmore.co.uk/) Sleeps 8.
Not far Dartmouth/Salcombe - just a lovely place to hang out.
