Are scooters allowed in Kew Gardens?

Are scooters or balance bikes allowed inside Kew Gardens? DD says they are, I think not!
My internet is running too slowly to search on their site!

no they keep them at the gate, same for balls and Frisbee

Not allowed.

Anyone know why?

to keep the peace and the gentle pace imo
sometimes I wished they did as we sometimes use a gate to go in and another to go out but in reality really like that no such things are allowed, particularly balls
