Lovely hotel an hr from beaconsfield, bucks

It's my dh birthday next week, and I want to take him away for one night, to a lovely hotel, does anyone have any recommendations, would be nice if there was a lovely restaurant in the hotel or nearby.

It's not an hour but Danesfield near Marlow is supposed to be nice and have a great restaurant.

frak danesfield is lovely, it's very close to us, we went there for nye. I'm looking for something a little further away, but that type of place would be perfect.

Have you looked the www.thegrove.co.uk. It is a five star hotel in Hertfordshire.. v pricey but looks amazing.

The Grove IS lovely. Should take you less than an hour to get there from Beaconsfield, if the M25 is behaving itself. If not, you can always go via Slough & Rickmansworth.
