single room nr russell sq in london for next week!

My close friend is going into hosp next Weds to have a brain tumour removed and wants me with her. Need a cheap room nr Russell Sq tube, any ideas please?

If no one else can help, check the hospital for advice - they may even have some rooms they own to book.

The Indian YMCA is very cheap & (so I hear) clean etc. It's Fitzroy Sq so probably about a 15/20 minute walk from Russell Square tube (it's nearer Warren St tube).
