Don't stay at the Thistle in Windsor for a start - not unles you like the Heathrow flight path anyway. And I had a 3" gap under my door

What sort of hotel? What sort of budget? With children, I presume?

with two children two adults budget about 300 + cost of tickets

We went to legoland a couple of weeks ago and it was awful... tired, dirty, and soooooo expensive.. and it's all 'bitty', all over the place and just rubbish really.
Drayton Manor is so much better IMHO.
