Hi, would love to get away for the May half term holiday, this long Easter break has got me down! DH is free from hospital appts until his next ct scan in June. Trouble is we are restricted to staying in the UK because he can`t get travel ins to cover the cancer. We all love forest type hols, have tried Forest Holiday Cabins, loved it but not enoough for three on the go kids, love Center Parcs perfect for us, but cannot afford to go in school holidays. Any ideas please for somewhere we can all find something? Dh likes walking, cycling, fishing, kids love swimming, cycling, wildlife, and I like a glass of wine in a hot tub!!We all love animals too!

THere might be something here which would suit if you are happy to arrange your own activities.

We used the site last August to find a cottage in Somerset and were really pleased with it. Lots of walking around Exmoor; some lovely pubs; we did a Landrover safari over Exmoor too which was brilliant fun.

How long do you want to go away for? We run a B&B (please see classified) and cna offer nature, peace, swimming pond, wine for 3 nights if that is any help.

What about Aviemore or the surrounding area? Endless outdoor activities, miles of routes if you just fancy walking or cycling, wildlife in abundance and tons of options for accommodation. Very beautiful too!

Hi thank you all for your replies. The b&b loos lovely 5gomad but its not for my three, afraid they would feel restricted! Aviemore is too far from Kent. Just looking for something a little different.

I would recommend Coombe Mill in cornwall. It's on a farm, near a wood and cycle ride (the camel trail) and has a fishing lake too. No hot tub though!!! The family who own the resort have 6 kids - youngest are triplets! Hope you find something in time :)

North Wales?

Beaches
Rock pools
Coasteering
Pony trekkimg
Walks

Cottages are really cheap there too.

How about Lundy Island on the north Devon coast.

It's nature-tastic.
