can anyone recommend any of the Haven holiday parks?

We'll be travelling from Reading so probably easiest will be Dorset or Essex but willing to travel further if needed.

Yes, and the queues for food were huge aswell - and they kept knocking stuff off the menu. When we asked about their pasta bar, a surly woman snapped that there was a queue, so it was shut! I wonder if we were suffering there at the same time, muddyangels - we were there at the start of August.

Just got back from Primrose Valley and had a great time. We did a private hire this time which was MUCH cheaper.

Why haven specifically?
We have had some lovely holidays in Hoeseasons ones and they have always been acceptable-to-wonderful.

We have been to 2 sites in Weymouth and Devon cliffs. No problems at any of them. Down side of Devon cliffs is that it is a big site and was very busy when we went. Kids loved it though.

Those who have mentioned hiring private caravans, how do you do that? And does it still work out cheaper than collecting tokens in the Daily Mail/Sun?

We've just come back from Rockley Park in Poole. Lovely place, but the beds were so hard and uncomfortable!

Def not Satan Sands (Seton really but DH renamed it). It was our first and last Haven holiday. Really it was grim and we are not over fussy travellers.
