Preferably one that has family rooms. Would also consider a hotel? Been trawling websites but I would trust a MN-er opinion more Smile

cant recommend but am lurking as Bamburgh is my favourite place on earth (seriously!). So beautiful, i spent many a childhood holiday there however we camped on a campsite in Beadnell, a mile or two out. It is worth looking there or Seahouses as it is all walking distance.

Still lurking tho as would love to take DS and DH there!

We always go self catering when in the area so can't make any recommendations. The Mizen Head Hotel has family rooms.

I always laugh when people say Seahouses is grim. It has a few tacky gift shops, a very small amusement arcade and crazy golf. It is hardly Blackpool.

It also has great fish and chip shop, National Trust gift shop, delicatessen lovely harbour for boat trips to see the seals and puffins.

Thank you Jacaqueen, have heard of the mizen head - have you stayed there yourself? Actually, Seahouses sounds fine then! Think we would like it actually!

Grim Seahouses

That is the company we use!

Grim indeed.

Haven't stayed at the Mizen Head but I did hear it was good.

The Market Cross in Belford. It's inland from Bamburgh so you can't walk to the beach but it is the best B&B I have EVER stayed at and the couple who run it are lovely. The breakfasts are to die for - don't go if you're dieting.
