Self catering near Legoland?

Hi,

I am looking for somewhere near Legoland in May or June for 3 nights, for me and DS (6). I would like somewhere self catering to keep the costs down. Also, we won't have the car with us so we would need to be able to get to Legoland by public transport - train/bus or bus. I'd be very grateful if anyone has any suggestions where to stay. Thanks Smile

Not a perfect fit to your requirements but thought I would post anyway. my DH took our son (age 5) to legoland this weekend just gone. He booked the Grange hotel at Bracknell - because it is a business hotel normally he got a super rate of £49 for bed & breakfast for the Sat night. The staff were lovely, it was very quiet, the hotel had put a separate bed in for DS, breakfast fantastic. Wish i could have gone! It was a short car journey tho'

Just wanted to say thanks for the replies. After much looking we have decided to stay in London and just go to Legoland for one day, and see some of London as well. But the replies were very helpful - made me realise that a hotel probably wasn't too expensive - I hadn't even bothered to look before. Thanks again Smile

We stayed in the Marriot hotel nearby. it was perfect for a family of 5 and had a little kitchen area with microwave etc. Hope you have a family railcard. fab thing that we get lots of use out of.
