Hi All, I looking for a decent caravan / camping park in Dorset. Activities for children would be great but any recommendations greatly appreciated - it's so difficult searching the net all day long!

we went to Durdle Door last year. Pretty low key and no "activities", but did have a children's playground and football area which was just across the road from our caravan. Depends what you are looking for, I wanted small and low key, this was slightly larger than I thought but the location of our caravan on the edge meant it seemed small to us. Also had a shop, bar and restaurant. I would go back.

Great - thank you. I think we are looking for something a bit cheesier but not to much so... A difficult ask i'm sure!

there are loads of cheesy holiday parks in weymouth. you could search on ukcampsites.co.uk. the area around weymouth is lovely and you can see where the olympics will be held next year.

Hi there,

I would highly recommend Waterside Holiday Park in Weymouth, it is a 5 star park & has loads of activities, spa, entertainment, ten pin bowling etc etc.

It is really lovely & I would go back anytime!!!

We stayed at Newlands in Charmouth. Cheesy, but not full on Butlins.

we went to rockley park Haven last year - hired a privately owned caravan and had a lovely time (slthough weather rubbish) but nice modern park, good facilities although queue for the pool was quite long at times - dd aged 5 loved the discos in the evenings

Parkdean Sandford is pleasant during the day. Cheesy entertainment at night.

Rockley Park is great, according to visitors here (I live in Dorset so obviously don't stay there, but a friend of mine stays every year there) lots of entertainment for all ages
