Southbank in London, nice in evening for bars, restuarants?

We are planning to stay around this area for 1 x night...it there enough to do there on an evening ie bars, restaurants?

yes, love the southbank. Quick walk over the river and you have covent garden and all that's there,trafalgar square etc Festival hall balcony worth taking a drink up to if you want a nice river view for a bit, lots restaurants along southbank itself

Oooh yes! Sorry, I love the Southbank Grin. Go for drinks in the newly redone bars in the BFI, any of the Festival Hall bars, listen to jazz at the National Theatre foyers and go up on the balconies to look at the view (you don't need a ticket to get into the building). Eat at Ping Pong (if you like Dim Sum) or Canteen which are round the back of the Festival Hall. Just wander up and down from the London Eye to the Oxo tower or beyond and back again.

Come to think of it, I should be doing all these things!
