wells next the sea and carnival

ok ive just booked a week and then started researching the area and ive only gone and booked it in carnival week arghh - anyone been - will it be horific and noisy and full of undesirables (like us ). Am tempted to cancel andmake week later or earlier now - do the prices shoot up like they do in cowes week iow?

Have been to Wells but not during carnival week. The Crown does a good bar meal but you need to book.
