Fossil-hunting in Lyme Regis

Any recommendations for child-friendly places to stay for a couple of days near good beaches for finding fossils in Dorset? Many thanks.

Charmouth is a great place to find fossils.

There is a heritage centre there with lots of lovely finds in their display cabinets. You can also book to go on an organised fossil hunt. The kids will love it. Fantastic fun, even in the rain!
