Where to go at Easter for 2 days - not far from East Mids?

We fancy a couple of days away with DS age 5 at Easter.

Dont want to travel too far and must have something for 5-6 yr old to do. Have thought of York as there is the Train Musuem and Castle Musuem.

anywhere else?

Lol! I saw your title and was going to say York Ds1 was almost 5 when we went and he loved the railway museum. As did dh..

Not sure about places to stay actually in York, because we stayed in Keldy, near Pickering (also good for a day out on the North York Moors railway).

Ludlow good too - no trains but the castle, and nearby Stokesay is good for a visit too.
