New life in Watford, commute to Aylesbury?

My partner and I need to relocate due to work commitments, I recently got a new job! We have been looking for a mid-way point between London city and Aylesbury (where I'll be working) to live and seem to have settled on Watford.

Could anyone tell me what the commute, via car, would be like from Watford to Aylesbury time-wise?

And any information about the nicer neighborhoods in Watford would be appreciated also!

Have you looked at any of the surrounding villages between Watford and Aylesbury.

We live on the borders of Kings Langley and Abbots Langley which is 10 mins to Watford and about 30 mins to Aylesbury.

Kings Langley is the prettier village, quaint high street with pubs/shops etc. Good schools as well in the area.

In my opinion a nicer bet than Watford which is built up and busier.

Or other towns to consider would be Berkamsted and Tring.

Nascot Wood and Cassionbury are the nicer parts of Watford. Close to Watford are Kings Langley and Bushey is also a nice area. Watford is brilliant for commuting as has great links to motorways.

Watford, like all towns, has its nice and not so nice parts. There are lovely places nearby..Rickmansworth, Chorleywood, Chalfonts, Amersham. As mentioned before, Berko is lovely too. Your commute will be fine - the A41 seems to be a magic road with very limited amounts of traffic!
