Hey everyone I just came across visitwoods.org.uk/, launched today apparently, you can search for your nearest wood (there are 14,000 of them!) and they have loads of information on there about access, facilities, photos, even blogs. The woods are owned by everyone from the Woodland trust, the National Trust, RSPB, Wildlife Trusts and Forestry commission and what is really great is that you can download loads of free activity packs for half term fun things to do in the woods, and most woods are free to visit! check it out!
