Looking for somewhere to stay for a week in east dorset (so we can see family as well as have a holiday)in the summer hols. Looking for somewhere for 4 (DS1 - 5 and DS2 - 8mths). Would like somewhere that won't completely bankrupt us it dosen't have to be close to the sea (though within half hour or so of Poole would be good), kind of thinking Wimborne type direction but not essential. Would consider chalets/pleasant campsite - would welcome any suggestions? - thanks

We stayed in a lovely thatched cottage in Bere Regis. It was a small village, just a post office/general stores and a park.

We managed to travel easily to Poole and fitted in the Sealife centre.

I will try to do a search and copy you in on a link if I find it. We stayed there a couple of years ago, from memory it had three bedrooms and a lovely living room diner. I remember I managed to get it at a reasonable rate, myself and three friends went to stay there with our two year olds, it was child friendly from what I remember.

Right, I have done a good search back on my emails and the place was called Garth House.

It slept 8 people, and cost us £360 for a short break.

I can't for the life of me find it on the internet, however, in discussion with the person I notice I was also discussing staying at a place called the Chancel, another of their properies, so I put the link below in case that helps.

sorry not to be much help, just realised it was nearly 5 years ago that we stayed there now.
