Holiday Cottage in Lake District

Hi we are going to a wedding in the Lake District in September but want to have a week's holiday beforehand up there. We are due to have our baby this May so it needs to be family friendly. Not sure on budget yet, but would prefer it to be detached and relatively private.

Any suggestions would be really welcome, seem to be a lot on offer up there but I have no idea where to start!

Thanks kendalcottages yr place looks so lovely but we are after something a bit more secluded and detached, only because I am not used to having neighbours! Thanks anyway.

Ah, right... sorry. It is a very quiet apartment block (ours is the only holiday let, and most residents are in their 50s and beyond, rather than youngsters with loud music... it's just not that sort of place!).

But if you want something truly secluded, you probably don't want a town centre location. I work in tourism with the day job, too, so might be able to help. Of course, there are so many properties, though... have you got a particular area or budget in mind, and how many would it be for exactly?

Feel free to email me on the address above and I can probably put you in touch with some places worthy of consideration.
