hello! we use holiday-rentals for overseas properties - they seem to have some UK ones too.

if you fancy Yorkshire instead you can have ours and do the peaks (around 20 mins drive!), you can rabbit sit into the bargain!

hi Thanks will keep Yorkshire in mind but for now we are thinking Wales for Summer and at some point a long weekend in Edinburgh

my parents have moved from West Wales now otherwise may have been able to swing something there. I do however know someone with a caravan in West wales - could make some enqueries if you're at all interested, although it may be booked out already.

sfxmum · 31/01/2011 17:02

we are thinking of cottage mostly because we want quiet, but so far all the nice ones are either too expensive or booked up
thanks Katz

Use coastalcottages.co.uk - we booked with them a couple of years ago. They specialise in Pembrokeshire and have loads of choice.

You must look at the Under The Thatch website - they have amazing properties.

The farm is a headland, it's stunning. Fishguard not too far, the presellis, there are small beaches and the owners are fab.

Aberfforest, near Newport in North Pemb.
There is a farmhouse, and 4 converted outbuildings. Lovely lovely location. I think we have used CoastalCottages.co.uk
These few properties have almost a private beach literally a 2 min walk down a private path. Or you could take a 4 min walk through the owners private woodland, past their very own waterfall. Amazing.
