Please Smile

Have been away with them since I split with xp, but my mum came with us.

I really want to take them away on my own though now. Not quite brave enough to go abroad, and also a bit short of cash for that, but was thinking of a Mon-Fri break somewhere in the Uk for whit week.

Have had a look around, but I have quite a few requirements and so i'm struggling to settle on anywhere. It needs to......

Be easy to get to via train, from birmingham

Have an indoor pool

Centralish location

Plenty for kids to do

Close to beach

Also needs to not be in Blackpool, Weston super mare, or Skegness.

Anyone up for the challenge ??

I have found a few sites that meet the requirements, but then find that we have a 3 change train journey, and ideally i'd like 1 change max.

TIA

Scarborough? I think you can get to York or Leeds direct from Birmingham, and then you can get through to Scarborough from there.

Thank's for the info.

The idea is currently on hold for various reasons, but I will look into the places mentioned anyway.

How about Coombe Mill in Conrwall? It's a farm, so plenty for kids to do! Very spacious and we let our kids run around free for hours without having to worry about them(nice to relax on your own for a bit!) The owners have six children and the youngest three are 6 year old triplets! My kids spent hours playing with them on the farm - feed run every morning with Farmer Nick/Ted which is perfect for getting kids involved. Two outdoor kids play areas and one indoor play area too. Thoroughly recommend it!
