We fancy going somewhere new and don't know this area at all. We'd like somewhere with a collection of cottages (so potentially other kids around for dd to play with), play area and preferably pool. Has anyone been any where like this? Thanks x

Not been to a cottage, but have been to Bluestones which was not too bad a price - sort of trying to be Centre Parcs but cheaper, lodges rather than caravans. We went the first year they opened so it was a bit quiet on the activities front, but it was a good base to explore the area, they did nature trails and teddy bear picnics depending on age groups, cars stay in the car park so pretty safe for playing as hardly any traffic. The pool is next door to the site, it's got a toddler pool and a wave pool with water slides, you get complimentary entry. There's a playground by the shop/restaurant/pub in the middle of the park.

We stayed here two years ago and I would highly recommend it- www.scolton.com.

There were ten cottages so my boys made friends with the other children. The pool, sauna and steam room were so clean, the owners take so much care.

Most of the families were repeat visitors which is always a good sign.

We explored around loads as had not been there before, and the views are amazing heading out towards Cardigan. Also near to Tenby for beach days.

How about Ivy Tower Village in St Florence near Tenby? Several cottages and more details here: Ivy Tower Cottages

we have been going to Pembrokeshire for a number of years fantastic area, lovely beaches. Scoulton cottages we have stayed at and this may have changed but could have done with an update and the granary accom for 6 was snug.I am not a fan of Bluestones but lots are, accom nice but pool gets v crowded. We stayed at Ivy court cottages a few years ago pool and complex. Trying Harrolds cottages this year no pool but Tenby has a good pool. Also east jordaston cottages lovely. Celtic haven complex with lots to do nr Tenby.good luck with your search, dont be put off if no pool, hopefully if summer hols the beach will be used and you can always go to bluestones pool as non resident. see trip adviser.
