Hello,
i've got an overnight stay in Edinburgh west next Sat night and am v excited and love Edinburgh during the twinkly festive season. I will be with my 8yr old son. We are on a lean budget so any suggestions for cheap places to eat/go. We'd love to do a ghost tour.
All tips appreciated.
:)

vitorria restuarant (there is actually 3 owned by the same people) its italian and not badly priced. the food is really nice. the toy/children's museum is ok to look at all the different old toys (not bad if its raining), there is the really big museum that's free just off the royal mile, cant remember whether its the national museum buts its abouts four floors high and filled wit all sorts of different things, you can spend hours in it and its FREE

Try the camera obscura and the other things they've got there, well worth a trip for adults or children.
