Has anyone ever stayed at Sopwell House .....Need to stay with 3 kids and its EXPENSIVE !! ....advice please

Hi There

Am in a bit of a pickle and need some help .......My brother is getting married at Sopwell House Herts in August. My 3 girls are flowergirls so was hoping to stay overnight with my family .....how ever on asking prices I have been quoted fro a junior suite ......twins are 3 and eldest is 6 at £157.45 . My question is has anyone stayed here ??? Are the standard double rooms tiny ?? ......am wondering if we would get away with a double room ...then kids on their ready beds .....maybe 1 in with us ??? .....Really wanted the ease of staying at the venue but have a feeling we may have to find somewhere else ;-(

I have stayed there with work. Had a double for sole occupancy and there was no room for ready beds. Plus a hotel will not allow 3 kids and 2 adults in a double room unfortunately.

There is a Quality Hotel nearby who will be cheaper.

Sopwell is very nice for a wedding.

Think we're going to splash out for the junior suite for wedding night , and the Thistle hotel for night before ....much cheaper ...still with pool
