Pregnant and need ideas for NYE!

Any ideas for the dreaded NYE?

I'm 6 mths pregnant so the usual pub/party thing doesn't really appeal this year. And DP and I will have just moved in to our wreck of a new house - staying in prob not much fun as will be cold and draughty, with no kitchen!!

Most of our friends seem to be either away or seeing family and friends so it looks like the two of us will be on our lonesome. Nice in some ways, pre-baby, but feel we should do something fun.

What does everyone else do?

Go to bed?

Um, we go to bed early, then wakeup at midnight from the fireworks, grunt Happy New Year at each other then go back to sleep

Why don't you go away for the night? Lovely hotel, meal out, etc etc.

Cheddar has a much better idea lol!

Assume you are pg with DC1?

Then find a really nice hotel with spa and get a pg massge too :)

Thanks everyone! yes, a lovely hotel would be, er, lovely. But to be honest, I'm feeling a bit stingy on the cash front as we've got so much to do on our house..sob...

Perhaps a meal out somewhere and an early night will do the trick.

How about spoiling yourself by buying in some really nice food, getting a good DVD, hot chocs & hot water bottle?

Sounds much better than fighting crowds at an inevitably over-priced restaurant on NYE.

I know, the prices are ridiculous for NYE, just for a meal and glass of warm, flat prosecco!! But maybe that's just Brighton, which seems to be overpriced whatever it is
