I am off to Brighton next weekend with my cousin and my groovy mum. Can anypone recommend a few bars where aged 42, 43 and 60 we wont feel out of place?

Brighton's pretty relaxed, so don't worry about the age thing unless you go to some of the all night rave stuff on the seafront! And there are tons of nice pubs and bars. If you're in the south Lanes, the Cricketers is an easy bet for a friendly, usually packed central pub, or next door the Black Lion. Or near the seafront and pier, the Three in Ten on Steine St is a cosy little bar, open late, with a theatre upstairs.
More towards Hove, the Robin Hood is another good choice for a friendly drink, or for old quirky old school brighton, try the Lion and Lobster, which often has music on and tends to be an older crowd. For something smarter, try Hotel du vin or the pub du vin on Ship St.

Great thanx! We are staying in a B&B in New Steine which is near Steine St. Hope the weather stays cold and crisp and does not turn wet and soggy.....

Meant to say that nowhere's very far in Brighton, so most of the places above are easily walkable. Have a great time!
