Somewhere to stay in Newquay

We are looking for somewhere to go in Feb half term and were thinking of Newquay. Can anyone suggest anywhere to stay around there?

bedruthan steps is not too far from Newquay and a lovely family hotel. Newquay is a bit of a dump TBH.

Thought it might be nicer out of season?

You should try New Quay instead!

I think the stag/hen thing goes on all year but yes may be less busy. The area around there is really lovely.

Why Newquay? great if you are under 20 but there are some other really fab places in Cornwall that are easier to get to. The surf shacks (hostels to people of an age like me!) are open and full all year round. What about Bude, Looe, St Ives? the tourist board have a good website with masses of places to stay.

Sands Resort is a little more affordable than Bedruthan or there are a number of places, hotels adn sc, around Watergate Bay.
