Are DeVere Hotels the least family-friendly in Britain?

Hi,
Just wondering if I'm being unreasonable or should the DeVere Hotel in Blackpool (Heron's Reach) be allowed to treat families with small children as second-class citizens? No working lift, one baby changing facility with no running water, charged £10 for a travel cot and the worst thing: children under 14 not allowed in the pool before 9am (when 9mo awake from 6am that's a long wait!) Shock Is this standard practise in hotels or should we complain? Angry

We have been staying at the DeVere Daresbury Park regularly since ours were tiny and they have always been great with our kids so I would be investigating the group's policies and complaining if they have been contravened.

We stay at the Carden Park at least once a year and they have always been lovely, that's why we go back (6th year this year!).

Put your complaints in writing to the hotel manager.

Thanks for the messages. Were your kids allowed in the pool before 9am at the other hotels? Just wondering if this rule is just for this particular hotel rather than DeVere in general.
