3 nights in london budget 1k need connecting rooms

It's my birthday in may half term and I'm trying to plan a 3night trip to London with dh and the dc. Dd will be 5 and Ds will be 18months.

I can spend upto 1k but I want 2 bedrooms. Can be sofa bed in sitting room then another bedroom, or two proper bedrooms but connecting. I think an aparthotel could be a good idea but they seem to vary wildly from super expensive penthouse type things to sterile looking businessman accommodation.

Only other requirement is to be near the natural history museum, though that's not essential assuming we're central so can hop on tube to everywhere.

Google Tablet Hotels and then drop them an email. We always want interconnecting rooms/suite and they sort out for us. Lovely hotels too.

I've stayed here before, nice rooms, but wasn't looking at it through family eyes... It has no restaurant, but has a kitchenette. Close to tube & restaurants.
