(Lucky me!). I'm in newcastle and dh going to a conference in Brighton next week and I've decided to tag along. We are staying at the Hilton, have never been before. I see there is the Pavillion and apparantly some nice unusual shops, anything else to look out for?
Thanks folks

Go to eat at Terre a Terre, it's wonderful

It is, I think, one of the most original restaurants in Brighton it's vegetarian but even my carnivore husband loves it.

So great.

The pavilion is wonderufl.

Sorry that was really rude of me - Brighton is a fun place to visit ...the lanes (where the little shops are) are worth a visit ...and they have great little art gallery's...you could wonder round the lanes for a day easily!.... and the night life is great too (again in the lanes) - you can get lost in them !!

I used to travel there a lot with work and stay in the Hilton or Hotel du vin. Check out the lanes which is where lots of the nice unusual shops are. There are a couple of great shops in the main centre - Cybercandy which sells tonnes of retro and imported sweets and groceries plus Choccywoccydoodah which is fantastic for chocolate. England at home has two shops near Hotel du vin, lovely home stuff and nick naks.
Pub du vin is nice for a meal as is Don Carlos , a Spanish place in the lanes.
Enjoy, it's a great place!

I second the Don Carlos suggestion - fabulous tapas. And you must must must go to Bill's for brunch/lunch www.billsproducestore.co.uk/ , please, please, please I LOVED this place so much when I went last year it nearly made me cry!!!
