Good holiday cottage for 4 people plus 2 dogs...Devon or Cornwall?

Hi All!

We're wanting to go away for half-term with another couple, our two dogs and baby. I am slightly loathe to book just having seen the property on the internet as we have fallen foul of optimistic descriptions on the internet before!

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks!

Wringworthy cottages in Looe. We have been a few times. They have lots of baby stuff free, they are lovely cottages with everything provided that you could need - we havent ever stayed anywhere so well equipped - and I am pretty certain that they take dogs. Certainly worth a look anyway

We always use Helpful Holidays which only cover the West Country. Their descriptions are, if anything, under-done, and we've always been happy with them.

We went to A104 (a lodge in the grounds of Bovey Castle), A14 (a thatched cottage near Drewsteignton with lovely garden) in recent months and both were very comfy, two bedroom, two bath properties. The advantage of A104 is that you can use all the facilities of Bovey Castle hotel (pool, spa, golf course etc etc).

Have just come back from Court Farm in Marhamchurch, nr Bude. Honestly couldn't recommend it more highly. We took 2 small kids and 1 very large excitable and dog and it worked really well. The owners have small children so really understand what makes a holiday easy, and I find it can often be hard to get this side of it right as well as somewhere that will take a dog! Very pretty village and lots to do. Court Farm cottages have a lovely pool (small, v. clean, warm enough for little babies) and a brilliant outdoor play area with tons of toys, some indoor play stuff too. Also treatment rooms and a yoga teacher if you get some time off.

My husband disappeared off surfing and left me, the kids and the dog car-less there for the day and we entertained ourselves very happily.

Have a look, hope you find somewhere that suits everyone!
