What areas are still good for kids whatever the weather? We have 8yo, 6yo and 2yo sons and are thinking of going to the Isle of Wight or possibly Devon (have found one cottage available in Dartmouth and one in Teignmouth) but I wondered if lots of the activities were a bit dependent on sunny weather.

We go to Looe in Cornwall a lot. You are not far from Plymouth which has lots of indoor type things to do. Also places like the Eden Project arent that far either. Check out their website as they have ice skating on which our children always enjoy. We a holiday a lot in the UK - we are off to Wales for half term - and it seems like more and more areas have indoor type things to do. Wherever you decide to go always check out the National Trust. They have fantastic kids activity sheets and apple bobbing, halloween type walks etc all really good fun for the more adventurous. We stay at Wringworthy cottages Looe but there are plenty of good places out there.
