The Big Blue Hotel is fab. We've been three or four times. Not that close to the Tower though - it's right next door to the Pleasure Beach. Is that too far away for you?

Well we will have to walk there at the end of November in the earl(ish) morning

Family room, good breakfast not horrendously priced for 1 night

Imperial or Hilton both take tesco vouchers!10-15 min walk from tower or taxi or tram shouldn't be a problem in Nov .Of the two preferred Imperial

KatyMac · 05/09/2010 22:14

The Imperial is full & the Hilton is £224 for 2 nights

I need to re-think

We stayed at the Premier Inn as I was too frightened to book a B&B incase it was dire.

Cost us about £45 per night for the 4 of us. Breakfast served at the Pub next door was good.

It is a bit out though. A 10 min walk gets you to the South Pier where you can get a bus or train along to the Tower.

The Claremont on the north shore is good that's where we go. They have great entertainment and a kid's club until 10pm with fully qualified staff. Great food too.

Anyone know anything about the Trafford? (it's much cheaper)

travelodge south promenade is right opposite the pleasure beach. Not next to tower but not too far? Booking way in advance we have had family rooms for £12 for all four of us in the summer hols. You wont get as good a deal as that booking for next month but hopefully still reasonable. Good luck

The Newlands hotel.

Not a big hotel but Phil & Heather (the owners) are lovely.

5 mins walk from the tower. £20 a night

KatyMac · 30/09/2010 15:16

Thanks for that

The Newlands seems very reasonable

The travelodge is quite expensive
