DH is taking me to London for 10 th wedding. We where in London in may with our 2 dds, and did buckingham palace (saw state opening procession), the royal mews, open bus tour, boat trip, Nh museum, Kensington gardens, London eye, , covent gardens and lots of walking. Loved the city (we're from Greenock).

This time, can you recommend stuff to do that we would enjoy and wouldn't be able to do if had kids with us. Also where to eat that's not Michelin starred or fine dining, or (on the other extreme) macdonalds?

You can usually get good deals for places to stay on last minute dot com.

Personally, i love Belgo to eat at - it's lobster and stuff - a belgium restuarant.

What about a show?

How many nights are you there for?

I'd do matinee show then go for a nice meal after - Belgo is cool, great atmosphere, rustic lovely mussels and the best fishcakes Ive eaten or what about Chez Gerrard in Covent Garden check out Top Table website who do great deals.

Following day do a boat cruise, walk along South Bank, take in lunch, what about St Paul's or the Tate Modern

I did Westminster Abbey when I was down alone in March. You see places totally differently when you're not accompanied by the children.
