Go to the beach.

They are lovely, we esp like the area between Castle Beach and South Beach (just go down the cliff steps at any point.

Boat trip to Caldey Island for a stroll. Worth it for the boat if yr 2yo like sthat sort of thing.

There are the usual places to amuse at a price, eg Folly Farm, Dinosaur Park at Gumfreston, both worth a visit on a duller day.

Other nice beaches as well as Tenby include Barafundle Bay (busy); Broad Have South; Saundersfoot; lots of places with great waves but maybe not for 2yo!

Lots and lots of places to eat in Tenby, also good pubs all over.

We do a lot of walking on the fab coastal path, maybe take a backpack to make it possible for yr LO to enjoy too?

Thanks! Looking forward to it. Will definatley do walks along the coastal path. Any pubs along the way to stop for lunch?

I always hesitate to recommend pubs as one man's cheap and cheerful is another's Phew, that's a bit dear.

But the Lydstep Tavern in Lydstep is always busy and looks good value; we have had lovely Sunday lunch at The Dial Inn in Lamphey; and the Stackpole Inn at Stackpole is really nice but a bit £££ in my view.

Also we went to a lovely tearoom/cafe at Lawrenny this year - a bit further away from Tenby but on the route of a nice circular walk.

folly farm is good (animals, rides etc)

Agree that Folly Farm is good. Quite a lot of things to do inside if weather isn't great.

Second what Clary said about Stackpole Inn being pricey compared to other pubs of a similar standard, but its a very pretty pub.

We like the Lydstep Tavern as well, the gammon is huge and more than fills my teen which is a bonus.

We go to Bluestone's Blue Lagoon on very wet days, bit of a trek from Tenby but 3 hours of energy sapping pool antics guaranteed.

Do try the chinese in Lower Frog Street called China Town. Its a restaurant as well but we've only ever had take-aways which are just gorgeous.

You will have a lovely time if you go prepared for all weather tog for your DC so that you can explore the beach. We had a holiday at Tenby when our DD was 16mths old and it was lovely. The tides change and lots gets washed up on the beach, when we were there it was star fish. Nice town too, just stroll around. Smile
