ahhhhhhg! google is overwhelming! Can any one recommend a place up north, for holiday cottages in October?

for 6 people.
We were looking at Filey, Scarborough over that way some where.
But there are loads and loads and loads on google, need recommendations from folk who have been with kids...NO pets defo no pets.
