Has anyone been to HAVEN Thorpe Park Cleethorpes?

We are just about to book a last minute holiday - going there on Monday for a week - it looks like a nice park with newer facilities on site on the website.

I wondered if anyone could tell me of their experiences?

never been but a friend has and she really liked it. Good swim pool etc from what i remember. I think there is a coastal railway along there and some other nice days out.

hiya we went there last year as thought the same as you , however the swimming pool is newer and was ok but the staff were useless when it came to the larger slides and the kids ended up getting too cold waiting and came back down the steps as there was no-one up there to send people down and you have to be able to see when the person before has come out, the entertainment for the kids wasn't very good either and most evenings we ended up leaving early. the saving grace for us was pleasure island theme park is right next door so we had a fab day out there
however if your more interested in the kids clubs and evening entertainment golden sands at mablethorpe is far better and the pool is nice even though not as new as thorpe park(and both have the same activities)golden sands also has an indoor soft play centre
the beach is slightly further away at mabelthorpe but has a lovely fun fair down towards the town and the beach was nicer too.
