what's Blackpool Sands like?

we are staying nearby and wondered if it was worth a visit?

It's a really nice beach with a lovely beach cafe (nmot cheap though). If you've got a car worth a trip out to Bigbury Bay too.

Bigbury is a nicer beach imo.

We loved it. DD insisted on going there first thing in the morning on her 5th birthday, to paddle in the sea in her new bikini. Her birthday's at the end of May. Then had bacon sarnies from the beach hut - the guy thought we were made - he was probably right!!

From a distance it looks stunning. when you get there the beach is grit rather than fine sand. worth a trip if tou are in the dartmouth area. If you are closer to plymouth, bigbury, batham better
