Can anyone recommend a self catering cottage by the sea in Dorset?

We've used this company and had a great experience and a lovely holiday.

Thanks - would you recommend the area to take a 2 year old and 5 month baby?

We used this company last summer:

Sweetcombe

We went to Sidmouth with a 3yo (just) and 2 month old. We had a great time - pebbly beach, but lots of little cafes, ice cream shops, pubs (that are fine with children). There are lots of nice properties in Sidmouth itself - many with sea views. I also liked Beer, and Budleigh Salterton is supposed to be ok, but we didn't make it there.

HTH.

oops - just realised it wasn't Dorset Blush - but East Devon isn't too far along the coast!

Yes definitelt; we went this summer with a 18 month old and it was fab. There was a really good thread in the days out (?) section with things to do in Dorset with toddlers.

we went last year with a company called farm and cottage holidays.

we used a company called lyme regis cottages or something like that. Definitely Lyme Regis something. Our cottage was just over the borde rin south devon. Was good, no complaints.

oh my goodness, that is absolutely fantastic - thanks so much!! I really appreciate it. We are really struggling to get availability through dorset coastal cottages - just left it a bit late I think... will keep trying!! Thanks again..
