Off to Padstow tomorrow (with laptop), wondering what people's favourite things in the area have been. Best beach for the most idle time with a 7yr old, 5yr old and 2yr old? Family places to eat? Playgrounds etc.

Thanks for any tips to stop us wandering around aimlessly!

There's another thread on here I think about things to do in Cornwall - Crealy, Eden, and a few other places came up. Bedruthan Steps good for rockpools, but a steep walk for small dc, all the local beaches are good. Take a ferry over to Rock for a change (quieter in August than july!!) If you're mobile Port Quin is great for a change from big beaches - we've bbq'd late in the day there many a time when my DC were small.

Fish & Chips from Steins are good (be prepared to queue) Extreme at Watergate bay for vvvv good hot chocolate if the weather is not good.

Have a lovely time...
