Centerparcs with a newborn - anyone done it?

I had promised I would take my dc abroad next Easter and can't now as I am 2 months pregnant (due mid March)
Am considering Centerparcs Elvedon (not Longleat - too hilly!)
Baby will be around 3 weeeks old assuming s/he comes on time.
Has anyone been with a baby so young?
Have 3 other dc.

i wouldn't book any holiday for then as there are too many things that could go wrong. What if your baby is born late and you are induced - the baby may only be a week old. Or what if you have a CS. Or your baby may need checkups with the doctor, you may have an infection in stiches etc etc.

Sorry to be a pessimist, but your dc would be more disappointed if you had to cancel the holiday at the last moment.

So why don't you promise him you will go away june half term of it the summer instead and have some nice days out over easter instead.

My baby was due on Friday...and I have booked a holiday at the end of August...so could be between 2-4 weeks old.

yes something could go wrong but chances are it won't

Make sure you have insurance as if touch wood something did go wrong you'd be covered.

TBH, I think it's more to do with whether you're up to a family holiday than how old the baby is.

For the first ten days after mine were born, I did my best not to get off the sofa, although after the first, sitting anywhere was most uncomfortable!

If you're feeling well and confident in dealing with a new born, then probably no more difficult than being at home, but will you be able to enjoy it or even participate?

We went to DP when DS2 was 12 weeks, but my mum and dad came with us, so I had loads of help. I cried when it was time to leave and I had to go back to real life

i'm still a bit un decided tbh but probably thinking more so that I won't risk it.
My dp and my parents would be with me so plenty of help but I supposed there is always a chance I just might not be up to it or that other issues might crop up.
Have had 3 straightforward deliveries and was up and about taking dcs to school etc the 2nd and 3rd times within a couple of days so hopefully this one will be the same!
but think I might aim for a week in the summer and let my parents take the older dc abroad next year.
Thanks for all your messages
