Family Friendly Hotel in Brighton / Eastbourne area??

I'm looking for a hotel, or other accommodation, in the Brighton / Eastbourne area. We want to go the last week in August for 1 or 2 nights.

By family friendly I mean with adjoining rooms or baby-sitting. Adjoining rooms means we could order room service/get a takeaway and still have lights on or a babysitter means we could go out in the evening. It doesn't need to have other family facilities because we have plans for the day-time.

Any tips would be great.

We stayed at 'Dean's place' in Alfrison.

Quite pricey but nice. They have several adjoining rooms - small but comfy.

Fantastic restaurant.

I'd happily go back.

Thank you, that's perfect. We were actually going to Alfriston anyway!
