Dartmouth has a park and ride.

Also, you could park in Paignton and take the steam railway to kingsbridge I think it is and catch the river boat over, if it's on.
I'm sure they have plans for this though.

I don't live in Dartmouth by the way, just love the place!

certainly used to be. A long time since I went. They usually have things like a pavement artists competition, fun fair, crab fishing competition that can be joined in, raft racing fun to watch, great atmosphere, rowing races and sailing happening, can get very crowded. I imagine the programme is avaiable online

There's lots on, there's a fair, a craft tent thing, there are some activities for children too (worth looking at the website) there's lots of places to eat but it's incredibly busy. I think the Red Arrows are Friday this year and fireworks Thursday and Saturday but I could be wrong it seems to change every year.

It's Kingswear the steam train comes into, the passenger ferry is a little restricted due to the rowing races etc, stopped for the Red Arrows. The ferry from Totnes may be a little easier.

Thanks Bobloblaw - the website is very poor and doesnt give that much away. RA's are Friday at 5.30pm - so we are going to drive from Modbury area Friday and park up somewhere and have a full day there - we will just graze throughtout the day Im sure there are local sandwich shops we can grab a snack from - it will round off the holiday lovely as we leave the next day to head home.

Is there anything else you think we ought to bring with us also any ideas where we could park?
