Maybe going for a week at the end of September with 2 children, aged 8

they love play area's, indoor and out, still like farm parks, beach, swimming, One DD would love to have a go and some water sports

I love beautiful scenery (sssh dont tell anyone , I want to go and see where Doc Martin is filmed lol) Alos like shopping hahaha

Hubby loves History, boats! (snore!!)

Any idea's? Also places worth visiting within maybe 45 mins away, maybe up into Devon also?

anniebear re watersports, look online to see if there are any surf schools around, there should be something going on. On Bude beach, there is a shop that hires out wetsuits, surfboards and bodyboards, all relatively cheap (have done it myself). If you don't know about the surf schools by then, they should be able to point you in the direction of one. Or your daughter can just bod around in the sea anyway if she is water confident.

There is a great place called Crackington Haven, about 10 mins from there with a cove and great surf, and has a good pub for lunch.

here for surf school in bude

For history, you can travel to devon and Morwellham Quay, Historic town of Tavistock (beautiful, lovely pretty expensive shops, market, lovely places to eat). But they are probably more like 1 hour from Bude?

In cornwall itself - Boscastle and Tintagel are lovely (old Merlin stuff in Tintagel).
