Need a UK family break with toddler and baby in August/ Early September

Can anyone recommend a last minute August/ early September for family of four(3yo and baby)plus 2 grandparents?

My head is spinning with all the choice and I have now left it to last minute. I would prefer self catering and anywhere to keep my little 3yo entertained. We will be travelling from Cheshire.

Thanks for any tips/ recommendations x

We stayed here in Devon in May and it was lovely... www.hamfarm.co.uk.

Indoor pool, indoor games room, outdoor play area and loads of space to run around.

Would recommend it.

Thats a shame.. check out premiercottages.co.uk and do a search under your dates. That is the site we found Ham Farm and all their properties are 4 or 5 star.

Can't recommend any accom as we stay at my oarents' flat but area around Perth in Scotland is great. There's lots of nice cities within an hour, there's loads if castles, highland games on most weekends. Plus active kids adventure park at Stanley north of Perth is fantastic. And it would prob take about 4 to 4.5 hrs to drive up from Cheshire.

Gitcombe in Devon is absolutely wonderful.

Other lovely places I've stayed include Aberaeron in Wales (gorgeous little town with lots of nice things to do and see and lovely beach at New Quay just up the road. We stayed here and it was a great base for exploring.

The other place I'd recommend is Loch Lomond. We stayed in a cottage close to Luss which was lovely.

Thanks very much all for your suggestions, hopefully we will go on a well earned break!
