Last minute holiday - Devon or Cornwall? Help me choose!

Have just decided to book a week from 24 July. We've found two houses to rent.

One is in Lynton/Lynmouth and one is in Falmouth.

Any experts on these areas? Which is better?

both areas nice.

falmouth - traffic down will be bad

lynton - lots of those steep 5:1 hills

I'd go lynton but only because rock pooling is good and my kids would love it.

Cornwall Cornwall Cornwall Cornwall

Favourite place on earth though, so biased. How old are the kids?

11 and 7.

Devon or Cornwall Which is better?

Ds1 would happily spend all day rock pooling, ds2 would like to play football/cricket/rounders all day.

Holywell Bay is excellent for rockpooling, and you can get a sled and ride down the sand dune.

North Cornwall, just south of Newquay

Thanks all - have booked Devon, partly because it's on offer and is £300 less than the Cornwall one, and ended up letting the dcs choose!

Just need the weather now
