We're staying near Okehampton in a couple of weeks and have had loads of fantastic recommendations for beachy things to do near Dartmouth, but wanted some other recommendations closer to Okehampton for days we don't want to drive an hour each way.

Any good food tips would also be most most welcome.

The Waie Inn has a soft play area.

There is a fantastic park in Okehampton, Miniature Pony Centre is fantastic too.

I live in Okehampton and can second the recommendations already. RHS Rosemoor is quite good as well and not too far, our 2 year old loves it there.

Add to the mix a dog - loves people, hates other dogs. Any suggestions as to things to do in or around Okehampton with a 2 year old and a dog would be appreciated
